Available on Sprint as Galaxy J3 Emerge, this handset has a 5-inch display, a quad-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, and runs Android Nougat out of the box. It can be acquired for less than $150 USD with activation.
Android 7.0 Nougat seems to be finally making its way to most low-end handsets these days, and the Galaxy Amp Prime 2 is a good example. Already available on Sprint as Galaxy J3 Emerge, this affordable handset now lands in Cricket Wireless' portfolio.
According to the official product page, the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prim 2 has a 5-inch HD display, 16 GB internal storage, 2 MP front and 5 MP back cameras, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.35 GHz (most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430), 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2,600 mAh battery. The amount of memory is not specified, but it is most likely 1.5 GB. In addition to LTE, the usual connectivity features are also present - WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB.
The only color option available is silver. The Galaxy Amp Prim 2 has 5.55X2.76X0.34 inches in size and can be purchased for $149.99 USD, but a service plan is also required (starting at $30 USD a month).

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
