Poketab 6 is an Android tablet that fits into your back pocket

Available in Japan, this compact mobile device carries an appealing price-tag and offers a single-core ARM CPU, a microSD card slot and an Android OS

Tablets are usually equipped with displays that range between 7 and 10 inches in size (sometimes even 18.4 inches); however, those are apparently not very convenient as they cannot fit into your back pocket. The Chinese company Silver Win has announced a new device called Pocketab 6 that seems to be built for this purpose (as suggested by the promo images).

The 11mm thick slab is based on an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and can be purchased in Japan for 8,780JPY (about USD $92).

In addition to its compact form factor, the Pocketab 6 weighs 238 grams with the inbuilt 2000mAh battery and features an ARM Cortex A8 processor operating at a frequency of 1.2GHz. Users are further provided with a 6-inch capacitive multi-touch (5 points) widescreen display of 800-by-480 resolution, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of flash storage that can be expanded by up to 32GB via the microSD card reader slot.

Connectivity-wise, Silver Win’s new slate PC comes with an integrated 0.3MP front-facing web camera, one microUSB 2.0 port, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n and a built-in speaker.
