The laptop is powered by up to an overclocked Quad-Core Intel Core i7-3920XM Extreme Edition central processing unit operating at a frequency of 4.1GHz - 4.5GHz (the base model, however, sports an Intel Core i5-3320M chip) and can alternatively be configured with a Dual 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970M graphics card.

Origin claims the EON17-SLX houses up to 32GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM (4x8GB), up to two HDDs with a storage capacity of 1TB each, a 40GB/80GB Intel 310 Series mSATA SSD and a Blu-ray Writer (the optical drive bay can be utilized to mount another hard drive). Furthermore, this powerful notebook offers an Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth modules, four USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4a interface with HDCP, S/PDIF, an eSATA port, media card reader slot, optional TV Tuner and a built-in 2.0MP web camera.

Based on a 64-bit Windows 7 OS, the EON17-SLX gaming laptop features an integrated HD audio with THX TruStudio Pro (up to 7.1 Channel support) and an illuminated keyboard with three different lighting zones and seven colour options.
