Oppo might not be the first name that comes to mind when shopping for a new smartphone, but they've got a few interesting devices including the N1 Mini and Find 7a. The Chinese company also announced a new Find 7 smartphone earlier this year, and they have begun accepting pre-orders for the device.
Starting at $599, the Find 7 features the same design as the Find 7a but comes with a 2560x1440 pixel resolution on its 5.5" display. A 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU and 3GB of RAM also separate it from the 7a's 2.3GHz/2GB combination while 32GB of onboard storage offer plenty of space. In addition, the Find 7 comes with a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera, with the company touting a "Super Zoom" feature that captures 10 images and combines them into one 50MP photo.
Another interesting addition to the Find 7 is its rapid charge battery, supposedly capable of supporting a two-hour call after just 5 minutes of charging. The same 2,400 mAh battery also reaches 75% after 30 minutes, all thanks to multiple layers of thermal heating that prevent the device from overheating.
Sadly, the Find 7's large price tag could make it a hard sell to consumers, especially since it only runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Nonetheless, pre-orders are now being taken through oppostyle.com and the first 1,000 lucky orders will also receive a free iLike powerbank.
