New leak shows Sony Vaio Z notebook with docking station
Back in March, we reported on an interesting and then-unannounced Sony Vaio ultraportable claimed to be a hybrid PC for a supposed summer release. Now, this model has unexpectedly resurfaced with additional pictures and info.
The new leak comes directly from a forum poster in the Chinese website benyouhiu.it168.com who has posted with what he claims to be official snapshots of the ultrathin Sony Vaio. The notebook is expected to be part of the Vaio Z lineup and come in two different colors, black and gold.
Photos of the docking station can be seen as well, which will supposedly provide the notebook with discrete graphics from the Radeon HD 6700M series, a Blu-ray burner and additional HDMI and USB ports. A Thunderbolt port is a possibility as well according to rumors back in May.
Meanwhile, the notebook itself has been reported to come with a Core i7 CPU and Intel WiDi functionality. Other specifications are still a mystery, but the ultra-slim profile is expected to give an overall weight of no more than 2.5 pounds (1.13kg).
The new high-end Vaio Z notebook with docking station could launch as early as next week, according to Electronista. Check out the source link here for the leaked gallery of the sleek laptop.
