Motorola Xoom Tablet receives Official Launch Date

According to an internal Best Buy memo, the much anticipated Motorola Xoom tablet should hit the market as soon as this February. The memo specifies February 16^th as the in-stock date and the launch is scheduled for the next day.

 Motorola’s first venture into the tablet market features a 10.1 Inch screen, Tegra2 Dual Core Chipset, a 5 MP camera, and Android Honeycomb. The Best Buy memo also confirms the presence of 32 GB of onboard storage.

 While the exact pricing is still unconfirmed, an earlier leak by Verizon has the minimum price set to $800. And although it’s a bit higher than the iPad and Galaxy Tab, the price may be justified based on the Xoom’s high-end specs.
