Motorola XYBOARD now shipping

Motorola rolls out its new XYBOARD tablets which are of mainly two sizes 8.2inch and 10.1, and already up for pre-orders

A few weeks ago it was reported that Motorola had started taking pre-orders for their latest tablet online. Now, Motorola has started to ship their latest XYBOARD tablet models which are mainly available in two sizes - 8.2 and 10.1 inches.

Although Motorola is selling only the Wi-Fi version of the device, but Verizon has reported to offer the 4G LTE broadband service with the device. This XYBOARD tablet model is said to have four variants 16GB and 32GB version of both the sizes.

The model is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb software. It also has a 1GB RAM. Both the models the 8.2inch and the 10.1inch model can easily run videos up to 1080p HD and are capable of providing a resolution up to 1280 x 800 pixels.

Other important specifications are included with these models like two cameras one of 1.3megapixel facing front while the other of 5megapixel facing the rear of the tablet. The rear camera has also sported the option of auto focus and flash. In addition with all that it has the general features as 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS.

The specifications of both the models of different size are almost the same however their screen size and weight differs. The 8.2inch model weighs about 0.86 pounds while the 10.1 inch model weighs about 1.33 pounds.

The different variants of this model costs different however their prices don’t vary a lot from each other. The 8.2inch models are priced at $400 and $500 for 16GB and 32GB variants, while the 10.1inch models are priced at $500 and $600 for the 16GB and 32GB variants.
