I would love to own the ThinkPad X1 Yoga. It has everything I want in a laptop. The laptop's new aluminum chassis is sleek and durable, its 1080p display is gorgeous, performance is great and the battery lasts all day on a charge. On top of that, the X1 Yoga offers conveniences not offered by competitors, including a fingerprint sensor, a webcam cover, a stylus garage and an optional IR camera.

The 2018 edition of Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Yoga earned the title of "best two-in-one for business" from CNET last year. For 2019, Lenovo slimmed the machine's profile by a few millimeters and reduced its weight by a few ounces and outfitted it with a new CNC aluminum chassis, slimmer bezels and Intel's updated eighth-gen processors and a couple of cool privacy options. It's still our favorite premium business two-in-one.

All in all, the 2019 X1 Yoga is a major update of last year’s generation and I’d expect to catch a lot of attention later in the year, when shipping. Just like the Carbon variant, it’s scheduled for June 2019, with prices starting at $1929.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019-20QGS00A00
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 is a direct delineation from the critically acclaimed Lenovo ThinkPad series whereby this specific lineup of laptop models has particularly garnered much positive reception from many users of various walks of life. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 is distinguished in its own when compared to its family line by sharing its namesake qualities through the feature of a 360 degree hinge. Apart from that, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 is also designed with a specific vision in mind. It is targeted towards a very specific demography which will undoubtedly be able to tap into the full potential of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 should the device be explored properly. First and foremost, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 differs in terms of design among all the ThinkPad models that came before this particular model. It does not need to take the keenest or sharpest eyes to point out that the case color of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 is inherently lighter in shade and hue than the conventional black color in the brand’s series long-running line. The dark gray color is a nice and refreshing change to see. It is mostly attributed to the materials which are used in the construction of the laptop model itself. Instead of the combination of magnesium and carbon-fiber plastic, the usage of aluminum in the construction of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 is thoroughly capitalized in order to create a brand new look for its users. Aside from a quirky move-away in terms of choice of colors, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019’s main selling point is its technical nature as a convertible. The integration of a 360 degree hinge enables the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 to assume a multitude of positions in accordance to the user’s level of comfort. The aluminum material used in the construction of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 complements the 360 degree hinge feature very well. Being a convertible in itself, the inclusion of a digitizer pen or stylus is essential. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019 houses a silo in which the digitizer pen can be slotted in. This is a rather convenient and practical solution as to where the digitizer pen should be stored once it has been used to accomplish a task at hand. Not only that, the digitizer pen is rechargeable and can be conveniently done so when it is placed within the silo. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

In a whole new look, Lenovo presents the flagship of its Convertible ThinkPads, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2019. The new, more compact aluminum case is convincing in the test, as well as many other features of the new X1 Yoga Gen 4. However, it has a flaw we did not expect. What this is, you will read in this detailed review!

Joining the 7th-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon is Lenovo’s 4th-generation ThinkPad X1 Yoga, the flexible model in its X1 product family. As its name suggests, the X1 Yoga features a 360-degree hinge, enabling users to fold the display back, including into ‘tablet’ mode, for use in ways that aren’t possible with the X1 Carbon. What does this model have to offer and why should you choose it over its more traditional sibling?

Yes, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga is still my favorite convertible on the market. I really love the new aluminum design, and I appreciate the smaller footprint. It maintains its stellar keyboard, and the Dolby Vision display is still beautiful. I love the built-in pen, being there when I need it and not getting in my way when I don't.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

Intel Core i5:
i5-8265U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.6 and 3.9 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
i7-8565U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.
i7-8665U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.9 and 4.8 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
