Pros: Novel concept that we'd like to continue to develop. Decent graphics performance, ten-finger touch support, included touch-based games for use in tabletop mode with friends, internal battery for 'some' in-house portability. Cons: Slow hard drive, only two USB ports, heavy and bulky. Display could be better.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon All-in-One machine is truly a unique beast. Coupling Ultrabook hardware with a 27-in 1080p 10-point touch screen display is common practice but enabling a tabletop mode with custom software to promote a multi-user environment is not. In my experience the Aura environment worked well and basic consumers will find it inviting and innovative. More experienced users will likely question the lack of integration with other key services like Facebook or Dropbox and the lack of access to a simple web browser in this mode is a sore spot.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27 Table PC truly reimagines family computing with its innovative Aura interface, large library of multiuser content and unique bundled accessories. The games are fun and at their best when four people are playing. And while it's not the most portable all-in-one, the Horizon 27 is also a very satisfying big-screen Windows 8 machine, thanks to its Core i7 processor and Nvidia GPU.

In the Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27 you’ve got what’ll almost certainly continue to be one of the most solid “odd” computers on the market. Microsoft’s push for uniqueness in Windows 8 hardware has definitely made it’s mark on the hardware landscape – many different configurations for touchscreen and a keyboard combos have been appearing, but with this offering, Lenovo has created something solid. While, again, it’s not going to be easy for Lenovo to sell this machine on a large scale, its very existence stands as proof that the company is not amongst those that would make hardware builds just to be first to the concept. This computer is unique as well as robust: ready for the living room, the class room, ready for any odd game-friendly room in-between.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon ($1,849 list) is the largest of the portable all-in-one desktop PCs that we’ve seen. The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon is a huge 27-inch all-in-one desktop that you can carry around the house. Aside from the novelty, however, there are few reasons to recommend this system over a traditional all-in-one desktop.

As both a giant tabletop tablet and a family all-in-one PC, the $1,500 Lenovo Horizon 2 delivers. The machine's innovative Aura interface makes the Table PC fun for everyone, and its bright, full HD display and Core i5 processor work admirably when playing movies or getting work done in desktop mode.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M:
Based on either the older 40nm GF108 chip or the newer 28nm GF117 Fermi die shrink. In either case, the 620M is most similar to a GT 525M and comes without dedicated display ports. Consequently, the GPU can only be used in conjunction with Optimus.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce 840M:
Mid-range graphics card from the GeForce 800M series based on the Maxwell architecture.

Intel Core i5:
3337U: Ivy-Bridge-based ULV-CPU in Q1 2013. Offers a core clock of 1.8 - 2.7 GHz and an HD 4000 GPU (350 - 1100 MHz). The TDP is rated at 17 W.
3210M: Fast Ivy-Bridge-based dual-core, includes HD 4000 GPU, core clock 2.5 - 3.1 GHz
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
3537U: Fast Ivy-Bridge-based ULV-CPU in Q1 2013. Offers a core clock of 2.0 - 3.1 GHz and an HD 4000 GPU (350 - 1200 MHz). The TDP is rated at 17 W.

8.3 kg:
A laptop with this weight is comparatively heavy and less designed for mobility than for use at the desk. Therefore, the devices tend to shine less with battery life than with a large screen and higher performance.
8.3 kg:
70.83%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
