Leaked RX 6750 XT benchmarks hint at next to zero performance gains over the RX 6700 XT
Tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA spotted a GFXBench listing for what appears to be an RX 6750 XT unit that's undergoing testing. While the listing indicates that the updated RDNA2 card could hit the market soon, the results themselves are less than impressive. In the Aztec Ruins test, the purported RX 6750 XT only managed to score 2 percent higher than the vanilla RX 6700 XT, just barely outside the margin of error.
AMD hasn't yet announced specs for the RX 6750 XT. However, current leaks indicate that we're looking at little more than a bump to the memory clock and a slight increase to TDP. This means that AIB RX 6700 XT models with higher power draw and a memory OC in place could actually outperform many RX 6750 XT models.
Bringing in a new SKU at the same price point, with more or less the same performance profile, is a bit of a sideways move from AMD. However, if RX 6750 XT units have higher availability than the RX 6700 XT has had for most of its life, it could turn into a compelling buy.
