Kindle Fire may be coming to the UK

Rumor points to the beginning of a possible international availability of the 7-inch Amazon tablet
Allen Ngo,

Amazon could be bringing its recently launched Kindle Fire to UK customers as soon as January 2012.

Sources close to say that the Amazon tablet could be looking to expand its market with a possible UK launch. The 7-inch tablet has already become a success in terms of sales here in the U.S., so steady international launches beginning with the UK is a possibility.

Additional details are still short, but if the rumors are true, we should be hearing a confirmation in the coming weeks as the new year is just around the corner. It would definitely be interesting to see at what price the tablet would cost in the UK, as the sub $200 price point in the U.S. has made the Kindle Fire stand out amongst the competition.

The Amazon Kindle Fire shipped mid November in the U.S. with a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, Android Gingerbread and multiple online services centered on Amazon Prime, the Kindle Store and other similar services by Amazon. The device reached high pre-order numbers ever since its announcement and has been credited as the major iPad competitor by at least one analyst.
