Iconia Tab A100 could finally launch in September

7” Acer tablet could finally reach shelves in September according to company Facebook page

Acer’s Iconia Tab A100 has been delayed enough already, but we can now hopefully know when to anticipate the device.

Thanks to the ever helpful Acer Germany Facebook page, we now know that the Iconia A100 should be making its way to the market in September of this year. The info is only specific to Germany, but usually in these cases “what goes for the gander goes for the goose”, and US customers can probably anticipate the tablet around that time as well.

The Tab A100 was originally delayed due to compatibility issues between Android Honeycomb and its 7” screen, and it’s possible that it has now been outfitted with the 7” compatible Android 3.2. Unfortunately, that’s just speculation for now and Acer hasn’t confirmed whether or not the A100 will actually be running Android 3.2.

The A100 should come with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 1024x600 pixel resolution. No price is known so far, but it is expected to retail for cheaper than the $450 Iconia A500.
