HTC finally announces April 12th press event for its next flagship phone
The Taiwanese manufacturer has announced through Twitter the imminent announcement of its next flagship phone in New York, London, and Taipei come April 12, 2016. The HTC 10 or M10 will succeed the current One M9 and is expected to bring at least one innovation aside from the usual updated internals.
HTC's trump card will presumably be in the cameras for the upcoming smartphone to distinguish it from other flagships. The exact technology behind it is unclear as the manufacturer has been surprisingly good at guarding the secret. Otherwise, current rumors state that the HTC 10 will offer a 5.1-inch SLCD display, a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB eMMC, fingerprint scanner, and a 3000 mAh battery. Color options will include Black, Silver, and Gold based on the leaked press renders. The alleged photos below show a metal smartphone with design elements that seem to blend together the mainstream One A9 and the flagship One M9.
We should know in just a few weeks the core details on the next HTC phone. The company's latest financial reports proved to be deep in the red and suggest that much of the company's short term revenue will revolve heavily around the success of the HTC 10.
