HP TouchPad gets blocked by Hulu

U.S. owners of the HP TouchPad will find an unpleasant surprise if visiting

The once ignored HP TouchPad can be ignored no longer.

According to, the sudden popularity of the HP TouchPad following the huge fire sale was enough to catch Hulu’s attention, but not in a positive manner. Instead of supporting TouchPad owners, Hulu has now blocked its streaming site from users on the TouchPad.

The streaming service has quite strict across practically all tablets; if there is no dedicated Hulu app for the device, then the website will be made inaccessible. Users wanting to take advantage of the service, at least by official means, will have to use a Vizio tablet or an iPad.

Whether or not Hulu will release an official app for the webOS platform is unknown, but it is highly unlikely given the uncertain future of the operating system.

There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s.
