It's worth asking what System76 gets out of this arrangement. Presumably there is some kind of financial deal, but beyond that, it gets System76's operating system on a tier-one laptop. That kind of exposure has previously been limited to Ubuntu, and maybe Fedora. It's good to see System76 getting some of the recognition it deserves. HP is also helping out with testing Pop!_OS releases. If you're in the market for a new Linux notebook, this is what I'd recommend. It's powerful and user-serviceable, it has a fantastic OS and all the tools developers need—and it doesn't cost a fortune. That's a combo that's tough to beat.

AMD Vega 8: Integrated graphics card of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 8 CUs (= 512 shaders) and a clock of up to 2.100 MHz.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
R7 PRO 5850U: A mobile Octa-Core APU with Zen 3 cores clocked at 1.9 to 4.4 GHz and a Vega iGPU with 8 CUs clocked at up to 2000 MHz. The PRO CPUs offer additional management and security features.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

90%: There are not very many models that are rated better. Most of the assessments are in percentage ranges below that. The tested product is not considered perfect, but the sources give a clear purchase recommendation.
