According to the news received by GigaOm, and the Dropbox competitor, Google’s cloud storage service might be launched in this coming first week of April. For the free users, Google, allocates 1GB space while its big time competitor and current leader in cloud storage- the Dropbox offers 2GB of storage. Recommending friends to the drop box service also get the Dropbox users more free storage. There are rumors that Google’s Dropbox competitor will be featuring a domain specific version of all the Google Apps customers and it will also contain an API for any third party apps. This shall allow all the users to store content from other applications into the provided Google Drive.
Reports from February about the Google cloud service show that its users can store photos, videos, documents, and all other kinds of files in the cloud. Alike the Dropbox service the files will be accessible from computers as well as Android Tablets and Smartphones.
