Tablets are undoubtedly among the hottest products this year, especially those that let you watch 3D videos without wearing “special” glasses. Gadmei has reportedly showcased such slate dubbed E8-3D at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and will be shipping it pre-loaded with an Android 4.0.3 OS.
This device will apparently be powered by a Cortex A9 central processing unit with a core frequency of 1GHz. Furthermore, the E8-3D will pack an 8-inch capacitive multi-touch display that utilizes parallax barrier glasses-free 3D and has a maximum supported resolution of 1280-by-800 pixels.
Gadmei’s latest 3D tablet supposedly houses 1GB of internal DDR3 memory and 8GB storage capacity that can be extended up to 32GB by using the built-in SD card slot. Connectivity features include Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
Reportedly, the E8-3D comes with a micro-USB port, micro-HDMI output and two integrated cameras – a 2MP rear one and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing web camera. Users are also provided with a 5000mAh battery, the usual array of sensors and the above mentioned Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
According to the manufacturer, this tablet will have a starting wholesale price of $160. There is still no word on a release date.
