Further details emerge of the brand-new Dell Inspiron Duo

The netvertible from Dell will not sport a removable screen and doesn’t have full swivel ability

Dell’s outstanding Inspiron Duo, as reported by us earlier, the convertible netbook with a fancy swishing display, has already created ripples in the market. But details regarding it are still rather sketchy and not really out in the open. But with reports streaming in, it is known now that apart from the dual-core Atom Processor that powers the Inspiron Duo, the display is a good 10-inch wide which enables a capacitive touchscreen, but is not removable contrary to general perception. Thereby the keyboard is mandatorily fixed and cannot be done away with.

Also the much talked about swivel action is possible only in a single direction. This limitation has been placed by developers keeping in mind the maintenance of the convertible, as unrestricted rotation would eventually cause the fixtures to loosen up with use, thus defeating the whole purpose of provision of the swivel mode with the display.

There is still no news on the whether the battery is removable or not and the weight of the device is still not out. As details continue to be streaming in, there’s definitely no doubt about the fact that the Inspiron Duo whose main USP is its out of the box design and rich finish is definitely a gadget to look forward to!
