Fujifilm X cameras get 67% cheaper 23 mm f/1.4 autofocus lens

The Fujinon XF 23 mm f/1.4 R LM WR ($1,049 on Amazon) is fast and sharp, but also heavy and relatively expensive. Thypoch's latest lens addresses precisely these issues, as it is not only around 67% cheaper at a price of $349, but also around a quarter lighter at 283 grams.
With a length of 71.4 millimeters and a 52-millimeter filter thread, the lens is relatively compact. The design is both modern and understated, as the black housing features only the aperture ring typical of Fujifilm, with an "A" position for automatic aperture control, and a rubberized focus ring for manually focusing the lens when needed. However, this is not strictly necessary, as unlike most Thypoch lenses, the Sculptor 23 mm f/1.4 is equipped with an autofocus motor.
Whether focusing automatically or manually, the lens can focus on objects at a distance of 0.25 meters from the sensor. However, with its full-frame-equivalent focal length of 35 mm, this only yields a magnification factor of 0.13x. Thypoch uses a relatively complex design consisting of twelve elements in ten groups, along with a ten-blade aperture designed to produce an attractive sunstar effect when stopped down.
