Eurostar Group launches the ePad Femme tablet for women
It has been argued by many authors and researches that in the 21st Century, we still live in a patriarchal society, which oppresses women on the basis of their sex and has given them a supporting role. A good proof for that is the latest ePad Femme tablet, designed by the Dubai-based company Eurostar Group.
The slate PC comes with a pink background wallpaper and a few pre-loaded apps for cooking, shopping, weight loss etc. that the female user is apparently unable to download herself and is supposed to find useful. According to The Jerusalem Post, the manufacturer describes the device as “the world’s first tablet made exclusively for women”.
In terms of hardware specifications, the slab features an unspecified CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and an 8-inch touchscreen display. Furthermore, it comes with 16GB of flash storage, an SD card reader slot, an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and a $190 price-tag.
