Doogee T5
The Doogee T5 is a tough dual SIM dual standby supported smartphone with great hardware specification. It is an IP67 certified smartphone and, so, resistant against dust and immersion of water up to 1 m. As for operating environment, the Doogee T5 is capable of working under an environment temperature of -15 ℃ to 55 ℃, relative humidity of up to 95 % and an operational altitude of up to 5,000 meters. On non-working environment temperature, the Doogee T5 can survive at a temperature of -40℃ to 70℃. The design of the Doogee T5 definitely looks like a rugged smartphone, something like the Samsung Galaxy S7 active. Despite its rugged outlooks, it is somehow classy in some ways as the phone has some sharp angles around the edges. This is quite unique as most rugged phones usually look too bulky and ugly. The rugged smartphone has no open slots or ports to protect from dust and water immersion. The Doogee T5 comes with an additional back cover and two metal panels to give a different look to it, one being more sporty and another being more business-like. It measures at 153.8 x 78.8 x 13.5 mm and weighs at 155 g which is thicker and heavier than many smartphones. However, rugged smartphones are normally thicker and heavier built for protection purpose so this is quite normal. From the hardware specification, it is clear that Doogee is aiming to build a tough smartphone with mid to high-end hardware specification. In addition, it comes with a microSD slot to expand its internal 32 GB memory to up to 64 GB with a 32 GB microSD card. The screen of the smartphone is a 5.0 inch G+FF capacitive screen with a slightly low resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which supports 160K colors. For a higher-end smartphone, it is common to have at least a Full-HD screen but on the other hand, it is also common to have a smaller screen size on rugged smartphones. The rear camera of the smartphone is a Samsung SL8 13 MP with f/2.2 and dual flash. It is software interpolated up to 16 MP. The 5.0 MP front camera can also be software interpolated up to 8 MP. The battery of the smartphone is a massive 4500 mAh battery, which is much larger in capacity compared to other smartphones in the market. It is capable of providing 20 hours talk time, 46 hours of music playing, 2.5 days of normal usage and 20 days of standby. The Doogee T5 runs on the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow but no words have been out for a upgrade to the newer Android 7.0. As for connectivity, it has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2G/3G/4G network support. Sensors supported include a light sensor, a proximity sensor and an accelerometer.
