Dell XPS 14 and 15 specs leaked

A Chinese site IT168.com has recently leaked specifications about Dell’s latest XPS Ultrabooks along with some photo snaps

Recently a Chinese site IT168.com has leaked some pictures and specs of the upcoming Dell XPS 14 and 15 Ultrabook models. According to the site the specifications are of high-end device and might surpass other Ultrabooks available in the market.

The XPS 14 Ultrabook is speculated to have a Core i7 Ivy bridge processor along with an 8GB RAM. It is also expected to have an NVIDIA GT 630M 1GB GPU and an LCD display capable of providing a resolution up to 1600x900 pixels. It might have a mixed storage facility that is a 32GB Solid State Drive and another 500 GB HDD. The site has also claimed that the device will be capable of providing a backup for about 11 and a half hour.

While the XPS 15 model, is expected to run on the same processor and also have 8GB RAM as in XPS 14. But the graphics card equipped is NVIDIA GT640M a 2GB GPU. The screen of this device will be able to provide resolution up to 1920x1080 pixels.

For storage this model will have a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. This model will also be equipped with an optical disc drive. As this model will have all these higher specifications the battery life is expected to be less from the XPS 14 model. It is expected to give a life of around 8 hours.

Apart from all these the device will also be supporting the regular peripherals as HDMI, Display Port and the USB 3.0 ports. The website has also mentioned that the displays of both these models are protected by Gorilla Glass.

The website has also mentioned that the XPS 14 model might be priced around $1299, while the XPS 15 model will be likely to be sold at a price around $1599 - $1699
