Deal: Unlocked Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone on sale for US$349 at Amazon
Flagship devices have become way too expensive for many prospective smartphone buyers, especially considering that many advanced features like displays with a higher refresh rate can nowadays also be found in much more affordable products like Samsung's popular Galaxy A series. With the Galaxy A53 in particular, the South Korean tech company offers an enticing package at a very reasonable price, which has now dropped even further on Amazon.
The well-known e-commerce behemoth from Seattle currently sells the aforementioned Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone at a US$100 discount, resulting in a sales price of just US$349. This deal is for a factory-unlocked version of the mid-range smartphone in the elegant black color option. Shipping is free for Prime members and regular customers, but Amazon currently projects a slight shipping delay of around five days for the Samsung Galaxy A53.
Despite its very reasonable price tag, the Samsung Galaxy A53 features a decent 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a native refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Samsung Exynos 1280 octa-core SoC in this 5G-capable smartphone provides more than enough computing and graphics power for recent games and other everyday applications, while the quad-camera setup is able to produce beautiful pictures with an adequate image quality. This phone is further equipped with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expendable internal storage as well as a battery with 5,000 mAh of capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy A53 further supports fast charging at up to 25W, and to make this deal even sweeter, Samsung promises to support this smartphone with software updates for the next five years. At this price point, which is US$100 cheaper than the advertised MSRP of the upcoming Google Pixel 6a, this deal is undoubtedly a very reasonable choice in the sub US$500 Android segment.
