Reviews for the Cyberpower Xplorer X6-9300
Source: AnandTech Archive.org version
I really wish I could come out with a highly positive review for one of these notebooks; unfortunately, too many areas come up short. If you can deal with some of the quirks, both offerings allow you to get a well-equipped gaming notebook for around $1300. That’s a great price point to hit, and it puts these notebooks in the same company as Gateway’s old FX line.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M:
High-end DirectX 11 graphics card based on the GF106 chip using GDDR5 graphics memory (up to 1.5 GB).
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
2630QM: Fast Quad-core processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture with an integrated graphics card and dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
Cyberpower: CyberPower, Inc. is (as they assert theirselves) one of the nation-wide leading computer system manufacturers. As published in the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2003, they were the fastest growing private company in Los Angeles.
