Deal | Citizen’s stainless-steel 3-hand Eco-Drive with day-date heavily discounted on Amazon

Amazon has the Citizen AW0081-54L at $176.14, which it presents as 46 percent off a $325 list price. The saving is real, but not against that number.
Keepa’s history for the listing puts the highest price Amazon has ever charged at $275, set in April 2024. The watch has never sold there at $325. Citizen does use $325 as its list price, though its own store currently sells the AW0081-54L at $260 — the brand itself is not charging it either.
Measured against prices people have actually paid, $176.14 is still a very good number. It is about 23 percent below the listing’s $228 average over the past 90 days and $84 under Citizen’s own label. It is not a record, however. Amazon dropped to $133.45 in June last year, $43 below today’s figure, and Keepa logs an average of five price changes a month on this listing. Used copies have gone as low as $123.10, though none are listed at the moment.
The watch itself is a 42 mm classic in silver-tone stainless steel with a blue dial, a waffle-textured center and a Roman numeral at 12. Citizen packs its J800 Eco-Drive movement, which runs on light and needs no battery, alongside a day and date display at 3 o’clock. Water resistance is 100 meters and the crystal is mineral rather than sapphire; again, quite standard for the Classic line at this level.
It comes on a steel bracelet with a 22 mm lug width and a fold-over clasp with push buttons, and Citizen covers it with a five-year limited warranty. Amazon has 486 ratings at 4.6 stars.
Gold and brown-strap versions of the same model are priced at $281.25 and $176.14.
