Cheap smartphones are now even cheaper just for the occasion. The Vernee Mix 2 and LeEco Le Max 2 can be had new for $180 USD and $270 USD, respectively.

November is a month of deals and discounts to celebrate the Holiday season and impending new year. Users in North America will recognize Black Friday as a popular time for purchasing goods and electronics, but the big shopping day comes a little earlier for users in China where Singles' Day is far more popular.

Retailers like Gearbest, Coolicool, and Aliexpress are hosting "one day only" sales on November 11 (11.11) for their smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The Chuwi Lapbook Air 14.1, for example, is retailing for $400 USD on Aliexpress compared to its ~$500 USD MSRP on Amazon.com while the Galaxy S8 clone Umidigi Umi S2 Pro is $60 USD off on Coolicool for a final price of $340 USD. The more well-known Xiaomi Redmi 4X is selling for $100 USD or $50 USD cheaper than on Amazon.

As with any popular sale, it's important to check original prices and compare between different retailers to see if the discounts are really what they appear to be. Users in North America should be especially wary when purchasing smartphones overseas as they often lack the necessary antennae for proper 3G or 4G reception. The Leagoo Kiicaa Mix, for example, is only compatible with T-Mobile's 2G Edge network in the U.S..

A list of ongoing promotions at Coolicool can be found through our source below. Notebookcheck receives no commissions from any sales through the retailer.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s.
