Over the past few years, BlackBerry and Porsche Design have cooperated on creating luxury smartphones on numerous occasions. Today the companies officially announced the latest fruit of their collaboration, the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite.
A quick look at the hardware specs reveals that the P'9883 Graphite is actually quite a modest smartphone internally. The specs include a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 by 720 pixels and a PPI of 328, a three-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of integrated storage space. Compared to the original P'9883, the Graphite version drops the glossy back in favor of a much more premium leather material. The new luxury smartphone be launched in the upcoming weeks and will be available for purchase through Porsche Design retail stores, as well as through select retailers. The P'9883 Graphite is listed over at the Porsche Design website at a price of $1,950. That's almost three times the price of an unlocked 16GB iPhone 6.
