Model: The BQ Aquaris X presents itself as a mid-class smartphone. The Spanish smartphone manufacturer BQ has surprised users in the past with good devices. This time, it is no exception. The smartphone has an almost perfect balance between specification and price. The display has clean lines and subtly embraces the metallic frame. The edges are curved thanks to the 2.5D glass. Inspired by the automotive technology, more than a dozen industrial processes are needed to model and create a perfect curvature. A fingerprint scanner is subtly integrated into the rear, and the contoured and polished edges are precision crafted thanks to CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology. The 5.2-inch screen features 16.5 million colors, FHD resolution and a brightness of up to 650 nits. Its LTPS screen is thinner and more efficient thanks to In-Cell technology, which combines the LCD with the touch-sensor layer and also provides a greater viewing angle. The 16 MP camera features quick-focus PDAF technology and six Largan lenses with f/2.0 aperture, and the Sony IMX298 sensor has been specifically designed to capture more light. A dual tone flash employs different flash combinations depending on the scene in order to get best results out of each shot. The camera application incorporates new features like Multi-Image Processing technology and ZSL instant shot, which produce sharper images with less noise and deliver higher quality in low light conditions.
With more than nine million pixels of resolution, users will be surprised by the quality and true-to-life look of 4K videos. For shaky situation BQ has incorporated the Vidhance stabilizer, a novel technology which analyses, optimizes and renders the image, which takes videos to cinema level. All this is done with minimal battery drain. BQ is synonymous with battery life, and with the Aquaris X, it seems even more so. Its 3100 mAh battery, paired with energy efficient components, lasts up to 20 % longer than previous models. Browse the web for more than ten hours or watch favorite series for more than 11 hours straight. Thanks to the Quick Charge 3.0 feature, a user can get up to 50 % battery life with just a 30-minute charge. Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, which reduces battery consumption by more than 68 % thanks to its 14 nm internal architecture and its eight A53 cores. Furthermore, the processor frequency is increased to 2.2 GHz. BQ has also opted for 3 GB of RAM in order to provide a much faster and fluid experience with apps. As for operating system, the BQ Aquaris X runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

5.20":
It is a very small display format for smartphones. You should by no means be mis-sighted and you will generally see very little on the screen and only have a small resolution available. In return, the device should be very small and handy.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.BQ:
BQ is a Spanish company of the Mundo Reader S.L Group, which develops smartphones, tablets, 3D printers and robots.
The market shares are low and mainly concentrate on Europe. The number of reviews is quite low and the achieved ratings are average (as of 2016).
A Russian company with the same name sells smartphones. This BQ is independant from the Spanish brand.
81.51%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
