CeBIT 2011 | Asus introduces colorful K53 notebook series

Teaser
New laptops will have unique aluminum-textured surfaces and come in a multitude of colors

Sony won’t be the only one releasing flashy laptops this year, as Asus will be showing what it has in store for a new line of notebooks at CeBIT this week. The K53 series gets its own color with aluminum-textured surfaces for the first time in a notebook, Asus claims. The ones on show were pink, green, red and orange designs, but more options are possible. In fact, additional colors such as brown, white, blue and yellow are shown on the spec card adjacent to the laptops.

As with the colors, the specifications will come in a wide spectrum of choices. The processors in the laptops will reportedly range from Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 up to Core i7, with integrated Intel GMA HD graphics or discrete Nvidia GT 520M or GT 540M. Otherwise, RAM will be expandable up to 8GB and each will have LED backlit displays at 1366x768 resolution with 750GB of hard drive space across all models. The final price tag and release dates are still unknown, but check out the gallery below for a quick browse through the displayed models.
