Archos first took the wraps off their 97 Titanium HD tablet at the end of last year, and they've finally made it available for public consumption. The company's official Facebook page made the announcement today, revealing that the tablet is now available in the US starting at $249.99.
The 97 Titanium HD is a 9.7" tablet that's 9mm thick and features an IPS display with a Retina-quality 2048x1536 pixel resolution. The device also packs a 1.6GHz dual-core A9 processor while a Mali 400 GPU takes care of any graphic work. Other specs include Android Jelly Bean, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and support for up to a 64GB microSD card.
True to Archos tradition, the 97 Titanium HD also supports a multitude of formats, including H.264 HD and MPEG-42 HD codecs on AVI, MKV, FLV and other containers. The device is currently only available from J&R, Adorado and Amazon, but more retailers are expected in the near future.
