Apple stores will open early on Friday to receive The new iPad buyers
The new iPad will be out for the consumers at the Apple retail stores in the US and nine other countries starting from Friday, March 16. The stores will open at 8 am local time for the consumers, who could not place a pre-order of the device.
Apple has about 300 retail stores across the US and the consumer who reaches these Apple stores will also be offering its free Personal setup service. This service helps the users with the new device as the Apple’s on-site staff will help consumers set up basic things such as email, apps etc. ,which means that the by the time you leave the store your device will be completely functional. Such a service was also made available for the consumers at the time of the launch of the iPhone 4S.
Apart from Apple stores the new iPad will also be available at AT&T and Verizon Wireless retail locations. Both these providers have assured that they will be selling Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+4G versions of the device; however they have not provided any details about the time of opening their retail stores.
It will also be available at Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart. While other than the US, the iPad will also be launched in other countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. They will also be available in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. In all these countries the Apple store will open at 8 am.
The new iPad unveiled last Wednesday sports a Retina Display, 5 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture. The iPad’s price starts from $499 for 16GB Wi-Fi version, while the 32GB and 64GB will cost $599 and $699 respectively. The Wi-Fi plus 4G version of the model will be available at $629 for the 16GB while, $729 and $829 for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively.
