Apple patents Macbook Air design, danger for Ultrabooks?

Teaser
Apple gearing up for the MacBook Air and released a design of the same

Apple just patented the design of the MacBook Air, which may be competing with the Ultrabooks by Intel. The Design released somehow feels like the design of the Ultrabook as it also slim.

It seems this model may give a competition to Intel’s Ultrabook but it is unlikely that Apple would go after Intel as long as the chipmaker is delivering the hardware for its computers, but this patent surely is interesting in the light of Intel's $300 million fund to support the launch of its Ultrabook idea.

We will have to wait to watch if Apple would go for Acer, Asus and Samsung which are releasing Intel ultrabooks with their MacBook Air. But only the visual will not be enough for the Ultrabooks as they are called to better than an average notebook.
