Teaser

iPad 3 has some time before coming out, maybe till earlier next year, but Electronista reports of some rumors that suggest that the company maight have already started certifying components for the device. This includes certification of companies like Radian Opto-Electronics and Chimei Innolux.

There is also mention of the screen, which is said to have remained at 9.7”. Note that both the iPads till now have sported the same size screens.

It might be possible that instead of/apart from displays from Samsung and LG, Apple orders panels from Taiwan based Chimei Innolux. Even the backlight modules and light bars are mentioned to be supplied by Taiwanese companies. Chimei Innolux is supplying some of the screens for iPad 2 as well.

The reports also dismiss earlier rumors about use of AMOLED on iPad 3.
