Apple might add another model in their MacBook Air line of laptops, which might be of 14inch and a super skinny device

There have been a lot of rumors about the media event organized by Apple next week. It is mainly expected to be the launch of the most anticipated iPad3 and its news has been consuming most of the tech media.

However a new rumor has also initiated in the meantime according to which Cupertino could be considering a 14-inch super skinny MacBook Air laptop. This has been reported to Digitimes by some of their sources. Their source from the upstream supply chain also said that Apple is considering the 14inch MacBook Air which may start its mass production in the near future.

Apple already has a 13 inch MacBook Air laptop in their line of laptops. The Source also mentioned that the 14inch devices are currently the mainstream specification for the Asian notebook Market while the Western countries mainly have 15inch norm. It is also being added that 40 percent of the market share in Asia is captured by 14inch notebooks while it is only about 20 to 25 percent in Western countries.

Source also had mentioned that although Apple focuses heavily on American and European markets but now it seems that they are also moving their intensions towards China.

However, after having a 13inch model it is hard to believe that apple will be releasing a 14inch model but we cannot be certain about what’s on their mind and anything is possible. Apart from that there has been another rumor about the update that is to be released next month for the MacBook Air line.
