Apple has conquered their earlier record for sales in a quarter

According to analyst Charlie Wolf with Needham Researchers, Apple has reported sales of 4.63 million Macs and 12 million iPads in its September quarter, as he mentioned in a note to investors. Both these figures seem to be records for the company.

Earlier 9.25 million iPads were sold last quarter which was their record and only in the next quarter the figures have increased by further 2.75 million. The iPad really seem to have capturing the tablet market in a very commanding way.

Another record broken is for the sales of the Macs, that was 4.1 million during Christmas last year, which is about half million lower than this quarter’s figures. The sales of the Mac PC’s has exceeded further than Wolf’s earlier forecast where he estimated the sales to be about 4.4 million units.

Even the domestic sale of the Mac has increased to a 4.5 million Macs in September according to figures released by NDP group, based on the first two month of the quarter. Mac sales are increasing at a rate of 22 percent per year in the US.

With all these record breaking figures on one side, the sale of the iPhones has declined from 20.34 million to a 17 million units.
