Another Ubuntu Linux-based ASUS mini-notebook emerges in Europe

The Eee PC 1011PX is a 10-inch netbook with an Atom CPU and an integrated graphics controller

Last week the Italian retail site Monclick started selling the Dual-Core 12.1-inch Eee PC 1215P mini-laptop with Ubuntu Linux in Italy. Now, another ASUS model has appeared on the aforementioned website sporting the same operating system. The netbook is dubbed Eee PC 1011PX and is priced at about US $260.

This particular model is equipped with a 10.1-inch WSVGA LED-backlit widescreen display that offers a native resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels. Furthermore, the mini-notebook packs a single-core (2 threads) 2010 Pinetrail Intel Atom N455 central processing unit clocked at 1.6GHz. Built around an Intel NM10 Chipset, the Eee PC 1011PX houses 2GB of internal DDR3 memory and a 250GB rotating hard drive (HDD, 5400RPM).

An integrated Intel GMA 3150 video card that uses shared VRAM will reportedly take care of graphics. In addition, the netbook ships with Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity (no Bluetooth), has three USB 2.0 ports and a memory card reader slot.
