Android bug takes December out of the calender
Android's original launch in 2008 was plagued by various typos and spelling errors, and unfortunately, some of those silly mistakes have managed to linger around. This time around, a whole month seems to be missing, and Android may have stolen Christmas along with it.
For users running Android 4.2 on their latest Nexus device, the month of December is completely absent from the People app. When attempting to enter a birthday for any contact, the option to select November or January is available, but December is ominously missing. The app comes as part of the Android Open Source Project and is available stock with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
The problem wasn't there in previous versions of Android, including 4.1, and it has since been reported and logged in the Android bug tracker. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any fix currently available, and folks will just have to rely on something other than their smartphone for December contacts.
