French-based global communications corporation Alcatel will reportedly be joining the ever-expanding tablet market with its own device.
Dubbed the OneTouch T60, not much is currently confirmed about the Froyo-equipped tablet, other than its WiFi, GPS, 3G, microSD and USB connectivity options. Even the screen size of the tablet is unconfirmed, but the leaked photos suggest a 7-inch model. The Alcatel device will still likely make it across the Atlantic to U.S. shores, however, as it has been spotted at the FCC for testing and approval purposes.
No word on when we can expect a release, but the OneTouch T60 is definitely looking to be an acceptable budget-line tablet.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s.
