Creative software major Adobe has put out yet another revision of the Flash Player 10 version. The latest release brings along support for Stage Video full hardware acceleration.
The new release of Flash is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux OSes currently, while mobile OS versions of the software are currently in works. The Flash Player 10.2 version promises full HD (1080p) streaming video playback with just 1 to 15-percent CPU load on Stage Video supported systems. There is also support for support for multiple display full screen playback, native mouse cursors. GPU rendering in Internet Explorer 9 is also on the cards.
Taking advantage of the Stage Video full hardware acceleration support, YouTube, Vimeo, Brightcove and Epix would be the first ones to implement Flash Player 10.2 in their systems, and for this they are going to do some server-side modifications in order for Stage Video to work.
