Rumors of a new Acer Chrome OS based laptop surfaces across the net. Well, actually not entirely new, because the rumored Acer ZGB seems to be part of a re-launched project cancelled last year.
Initially the laptop was called ZBA, but the project has never finished. Now after a year when Chrome OS looks more like a reality, Acer might have decided to re-launch it – this time with the name ZGB. The rumor was fueled by a leaked bug report that shows the ZGB being used as a test machine.
According to the report, the ZGB should feature a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which indicates that the machine might be larger than a typical netbook. Also it might be powered by an Intel Atom processor.
The ZGB notebook might be available as part of a subscription which should include future upgrades and maintenance costs.
