Back in April, Acer introduced its special edition Olympic Tab to celebrate the event to be hosted by London this year. To be clear this Olympic themed tab is the Acer Iconia A510 tab designed with a feel for the Olympic Games. So to be precise it is a special edition Acer Iconia A510 Olympic themed tab.

The special Olympic edition tablet is finally available in the UK, just in time for the Olympics scheduled to kick-off on the 27th of next month in London. The tablet is up for grabs at Carphone Warehouse, for a price of £349 (around $550) and is being shipped for free for the Olympic enthusiasts.

Just to refresh, the special edition Olympic tab features a 10.1 inch IPS display and houses a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The tablet also offers 32GB of built-in internal storage, a 5MP rear camera with auto focus, a 1MP front facing camera and 12 hours of video playback. The specs seem untweaked from the original Iconia A510.

The Olympic tab along with all the aforementioned specs will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Apart from the specs, the tablet is adorned with an engraving of the five Olympic rings and comes pre-loaded with a trial of Eurosport channels, so that users don't miss out on any actions. The tablet comes from a choice color of either white or black bezel.

The Olympic themed tablet did not come as a surprise, since Acer has been known to celebrate the event with special edition tech. The Olympic Games is scheduled from 27th July to 12th August and athletes from every single country in this world will be there to pit their skills against one another. So not to feel left-out, Olympic faithfuls can show their support through their own special edition Acer Olympic Tabs. A big cheers to all the athletes representing their respective proud countries and we wish all the best for them.
