Allwinner A733 vs MediaTek Dimensity 7050
Allwinner A733
► remove from comparison
The Allwinner A733 is a very affordable ARM-based SoC for mid-range smartphones and tablets. The eight-core processor presented at the end of 2024 consists of two clusters: two ARM Cortex A76 cores with up to 2 GHz and six ARM Cortex A55 cores with up to 1.79 GHz clock speed. There is also a Risc-V E902 core (Alibaba XuanTie E902 real-time core with probably 150 MHz), which works with an open instruction set and consumes very little energy. Google has repeatedly announced its intention to support this processor architecture with Android, but support is not yet really concrete. The NPU unit is optional and delivers up to 3 TOPs. There are 3 different models planned:
- Allwinner A733MX-HN3 with NPU and HDMI
- Allwinner A733MX-N3X with NPU without HDMI
- Allwinner A733MX-HXX with HDMI output, without NPU
According to Allwinner, up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM is supported. However, the first model with the SoC, the Teclast P50 AI, only uses 6 GB of hardware RAM and 10 GB of virtual RAM. It is therefore unclear whether 16 GB of hardware RAM is actually possible. Fast UFS 3.0 flash can be used for data. In addition to PCIe 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen. 2 and Gigabit Ethernet are also supported as interfaces. There is also an H264/H265 video decoder (up to 8K at 24 frames per second) and an H264 encoder (up to 4K at 30 frames per second).
The integrated graphics card is an IMG BXM-4-64 MC1 is used as the integrated graphics card.
The Allwinner A733 is manufactured on a 12 nm process.

MediaTek Dimensity 7050
► remove from comparison
The Mediatek Dimensity 7050 (Mediatek MT8791N/TN) is a mid-range ARM SoC (system-on-a-chip) that can be used in both smartphones and tablets (mainly Android). The SoC integrates two ARM Cortex-A78 cores with up to 2.6 GHz for demanding tasks and six power-saving ARM Cortex-A55 cores with clock rates of up to 2 GHz. The specifications are identical to the old Dimensity 1080.
The chip has an integrated sub-6 GHz 5G modem including dual-SIM support that can reach a maximum download speed of up to 2.77 Gbit/s. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is supported as well as Bluetooth 5.2.
The memory controller copes with LPDDR4x or LPDDR5 working memory as well as UFS 3.1 mass storage. As an integrated graphics card, the SoC uses the ARM Mali-G68 MC4, which supports displays with 120 Hz as well as HDR10+ at a maximum resolution of 2,520 x 1,440 pixels.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7050 is still manufactured in 6 nm.
