Two popular sizes of the most affordable television with a native 120Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports in Sony's 2022 lineup have now received their largest discount to date, which brings the price of the budget-friendly 65-inch Bravia X85K down to just US$798.

120Hz is the magic number for gaming enthusiasts who are lucky enough to own a Sony PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console. In order to fully utilize the power of these machines, which can render certain titles at up to 120 frames per second, gamers have to hook them up to a 120Hz-capable 4K HDR TV with HDMI 2.1 connectivity. This exact description fits the Sony Bravia X85K, which has now gone on sale with a quite significant rebate.

As part of the ongoing Black Friday sales event, the large 65-inch model variant of the Sony Bravia X85K with a native refresh rate of 120Hz and Dolby Vision compatibility can now be ordered for just US$799 at various US retailers. This results in a huge 33 percent or US$400 discount in relation to the TV's official MSRP of US$1,199. Alternatively, the smaller 55-inch version of the Sony Bravia X85K is also available for US$699, which is a decent 30 percent discount in comparison to the original list price. Both deals offer the lowest price we have seen so far.

Rtings has already put this 4K HDR TV through its paces as part of their comprehensive review procedure, and they found that the Sony Bravia X85K is a good mid-range television with an amazing native contrast ratio of 5,392 to 1 and a great peak SDR brightness of over 500 nits. As mentioned above, this set is also well-suited for gaming as it supports important HDMI 2.1 features such as VRR and ALLM, but its low input lag of just 7.0 milliseconds at 4K120 is also fairly impressive. For less than US$800 or US$700, depending on the size, the Sony Bravia X85K is certainly a decent deal for prospective buyers who are in the market for a budget-friendly 120Hz 4K HDR TV made by a reputable manufacturer.
