CPT | iPad 3 3D feature on display at CPT

Teaser
The demonstration looks fantastic, makes us all the more impatient while we wait in hope that the iPad 3 will have 3D display

You might want to get your 3D glasses ready as soon as the iPad 3 arrives, as latest rumors about the next version of iPad carrying a 3D display became all the more intense with a show off during the recent CPT. Display Taiwan displayed a possible iPad 3 prototype carrying a 3D enabled card and display.

Netbook new played around with the prototype at Display Taiwan’s booth and they were quite impressed by the demonstration. It showed a few 3D demo pictures and while looking through the 3D glasses (not sure yet whether they will be optional or come in the box) provided, is expected to give quite a satisfactory experience to the viewer.

Rumors already suggest that the upcoming iPad 3 will sport brighter, higher-resolution Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode AMOLED display. The high-resolution panel will let it split up the image more effectively to project a 3D image to the eyes. As each eye will receive a separate image from the other, the effective resolution for each eye is exactly half of the maximum the panel has.

The iPad 3 is due early next year, and Apple might have already started certifying components for the iPad 3.
