Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xring O1, which is the company's most ambitious flagship SoC. As far as the performance goes, it's a proper rival to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, according to benchmark results. However, as the company has confirmed, it currently doesn't plan to bring this flagship phone to the global market.
Those who are interested in purchasing the phone, however, now have the option to import it through Giztop. The base configuration, which features 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, is available at $949. To compare, the same configuration was launched in China at CNY 5,499, which is around $764.
Giztop is also offering the second configuration of the Xiaomi 15S Pro, which comes with the same amount of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It's available at $1,049, and in comparison, the config launched in China at CNY 5,999, about $832.
While the import prices aren't bad, there are some factors to consider before purchasing a China-exclusive phone. For example, the Chinese Xiaomi 15S Pro will ship with the Chinese version of HyperOS, which can come with preloaded apps that are catered to China.
Another thing to note is that some features that work on global phones, such as Android Auto, may not work on imported phones. Then, there's the concern about warranty, and while Giztop appears to have a decent warranty policy, it's not the same as the official warranty.
As for the phone itself, besides the Xring O1, the Xiaomi 15S Pro features a flagship camera setup with Leica tuning. It also has a bright 2K screen and a 6,100 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging (100 W Anker Prime curr. $49.99 on Amazon). You can learn more about the phone from our launch coverage.
