Reviews for the Velocity Micro Cruz Tablet T104

73% Review: Velocity Cruz Tablet

This is by no means a high end tablet. With a paltry 600MHz processor and only 500MB of internal RAM it will not win any performance awards. However, it also does not come with a high end tablet price. The Velocity Cruz tablet retails for $250, but I managed to pick mine up for $80 off. At only $170 I think this tablet does a great job of playing movies and display text. I am very comfortable recommending it to anyone looking for a cheap, but usable tablet. Add to that the amazing battery life of 9.5 hours and I think I have a winner.

7.0": This is one of the smallest formats, which is used for UMPC, Netbooks or Subotebooks. There hardly exist any models with this display format. Working for a long time is uncomfortable. This tiny display is intended for outdoor usage.
The advantage is, that the mini-notebook can be small dimensioned and can be carried easily. Further the tiny display has the advantage, that it needs few energy, which improves the battery runtime and in consequence the mobility. The disadvantage is that the reading of texts is very exhausting for the eyes. High resolutions can hardly be used. » To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

0.4 kg: This subnotebook is one of the most lightweight of all notebooks and can be carried very easily. There exist hardly any models in this extreme class of weight. 7-9 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.

Velocity Micro: Velocity Micro was founded 1997 in USA and focusses on gaming computers for the American market.

73%: This rating is bad. Most notebooks are better rated. This is not a recommendation for purchase.
