Two new Asus netbooks to appear in June

Teaser
One killer and another affordable – Asus plans to play intelligent

The netbook market is certainly not dead. Just when news broke out of Asus’ severely reduced netbook shipment number, the Taiwanese company unveiled two new models due this June.

One would be called “killer”, and looking at options of either a dual-core Atom N570 or an AMD fusion-based processor, the name should make itself self-explanatory. Not much is known yet, but come June and you should be able to lend your hands on it.

The second one enters right at the bottom of the product chain, making it a great value for money. A price-tag of less than $199 makes it much less priced than most tablets, and giving a good competitive advantage.

Both of these netbooks might be Asus’ attempt to revive its netbook line, and if this is so – they better be good enough to take on the demand of its own Eee Pad Transformer and for that matter other tablets including the iPad 2.
