Toshiba updates the Satellite P Series with 4th generation Intel Core processors

Next to the update of its Qosmio X75 series announced earlier today, Toshiba also refreshed the Satellite P series by adding new i5 and i7 Intel Core 4th generation processors and optional NVIDIA discrete graphics. The 15.6-inch family of laptops now features a Full HD 15.6-inch diagonal touchscreen display, frameless LED backlit keyboard and Harman Kardon speakers with Slipstream port technology.
According to the press release available at the end of this article, the Satellite P Series is "Perfect for multimedia and power users who want premium performance and an unmatched entertainment experience with a touch of style." The list of updated features includes the following:
- 4th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors
- Optional NVIDIA discrete graphics
- Full HD 15.6-inch touchscreen display (17.3-inch variants are also available)
- Frameless LED backlit keyboard
- Harman Kardon speakers with Slipstream port technology
- UltraHD video output via HDMI
Various pre-configured setups of the Satellite P Series can offer up to 12 GB of memory, NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphics adapter with NVIDIA Optimus technology and 2 GB GDDR3, Voice Control, Intel Wireless Display, Sleep-and-Music, Hard Drive Impact Sensor and more.
Priced from $799.99, the updated Toshiba Satellite P Series laptops can be purchased in a pre-configured setup as mentioned above or can be customized to suit your needs. They will be available at major retailers and e-tailers, as well as from Toshiba via ToshibaDirect.com starting on September 29.
