The rumored Asus Eee Pad Slider could be out soon

Teaser
The Eee Pad Slider should be much like the Transformer, except the keyboard is attached

Asus showed off their new slider convertible during the recent CES in January. Although there have not been much news about the system since, Liliputing reports that the convertible, called Asus Eee Pad Slider, might launch soon.

Asus reportedly posted some photos on techinstyle.tv that give a peek into the exterior style statement of the toy. You can see the convertible with the keyboard sticking out on all the three photos that do not reveal much. There are a few things we could make out though – the keyboard is island-style with enough space between keys that should make typing comfortable. This is helped by the fact that the keyboard is stretched till the edge towards both right and left.

You can make out the partially visible Honeycomb interface on the 10.1” display panel with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. What you cannot see is the 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor racing underneath.

From what they have showed off during CES, the Slider might be a lot like the already popular Eee Pad Transformer. One advantage the Slider has is that you do not have to carry the keyboard around separately as it is attached, unlike in case of the Transformer where the keyboard comes as part of an optional dock.

The pricing and release dates are not known yet but Asus is expected to reveal more on 30th May at the ASUS Computex press.
