Asus Eee Pad Slider SL101 coming this September

The 10.1-inch tablet should be launching for $400 and include a Tegra 2 APU with Android 3.1

The official product page for Asus’s 10.1-inch slide-out keyboard tablet is now online with a full list of specifications. The impending launch of the device was first hinted at late last month when the tablet was discovered at the FCC. The unit is expected to arrive this September in select countries, according to NotebookItalia.

The Eee Pad Slider SL101 will be running Android 3.1 with upgradability to Android 3.2. Other highlights include a Tegra 2 APU, 1GB RAM, dual cameras, 1280x800 resolution IPS screen with Gorilla Glass and up to 32GB SSD. Connectivity options galore with USB 2.0, mini HDMI, microSD card reader, Bluetooth 2.1, wireless-n and GPS functionality. Overall, expect battery life to last for up to 8 hours whilst playing 720p videos.

For those unhappy with 32GB of storage, Asus will be offering “Unlimited ASUS Web Storage” free for one year. Users would be able to upload data to the Web Storage cloud and be able to sync and access files through an Eee Pad Slider, PC or smartphone.

When launched, the Asus SL101 should be priced at around $400 and $550 in the U.S. for the 16GB and 32GB versions, respectively, and be available in white or brown color options.
